Dr. Dunzo serves as PharmaDirection’s primary scientific expert in the areas of preclinical and clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics. Dr. Dunzo routinely utilizes her extensive technical background and thorough knowledge of the clinical trials process to help clients navigate through the early phases of drug development. In addition to leading multi-disciplinary teams for clients, Dr. Dunzo provides a fundamental and deep understanding of the ADME of their molecule by utilizing predictive pharmacokinetic modeling, the development and refinement of PK/PD relationships, population pharmacokinetics, drug-drug interaction design, BA/BE and IVIVC development and validation. Dr. Dunzo also leads efforts utilizing in silico modeling approaches to guide the formulation development process; in this capacity, Dr. Dunzo has coauthored several patent applications based on novel pharmacokinetic profiles.
Dr. Dunzo has worked in both technical and leadership positions at Health Decisions, CuraGen and Ribozyme Pharmaceuticals; she has authored or coauthored documentation supporting 9 INDs and several ex-US filings. Dr. Dunzo holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of California-Berkeley and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
